Marcialonga di San Giuseppe

The 44th edition of the Marcialonga di San Giuseppe, held on Sunday, March 23, 2025, in Putignano, will be remembered for the adverse weather conditions: rain and strong winds did not stop the runners. About 1,000 FIDAL-registered athletes and nearly 2,000 open participants showed up at the start in Largo Porta Nuova at 9:50 AM. The eight-kilometer course crossed Via Castellana, Viale Cristoforo Colombo, and areas of the town center. In the competitive race, Giovanni Rizzi won in 33'05" among the men, and Francesca Pastore in 39'36" among the women. As per tradition, the ASD Amatori Putignano awarded the largest groups and participating schools.
