Marcetelli Red Chestnut Festival

The 2025 edition, the 46th, was held on Saturday, November 1st in Marcetelli, in the province of Rieti, with food stalls opening from 12:00 PM in Piazza San Rocco.

The menu proposed by the Pro Loco included maltagliati with porcini mushrooms, gnocchetti and beans, veal morsels with chestnuts, fried pizza, arrosticini, and chestnut gelato. The red roasted chestnuts were offered for free to visitors, accompanied by local wine.

Alongside the gastronomic section, there was musical entertainment, points of sale for freshly harvested chestnuts, a visit to the historic center and the «La Bottega del Cerchiaro» museum, and walks in the autumn chestnut groves of the Monti Navegna and Cervia Nature Reserve.
