Edition 2025 — Marathon del Gargano
The 8th Marathon del Gargano took place on October 5, 2025, effectively closing the Challenge XCP MTB Puglia season. The start was at 9:30 AM from Piazza Beneficenza, in the center of Monte Sant'Angelo, with two routes — Marathon (62 km, 1600 m D+) and Mediofondo (approx. 50 km, 1150 m D+) — sharing the passage at Monte Spigno, at an altitude of 1,000 meters. A new feature for this edition was the time gate at km 45, in the Sitizzo Madonnina area, which had to be passed by 12:30 PM. Winners received the Two UNESCO Sites Trophy sponsored by AVIS Monte Sant'Angelo and a statue of San Michele Arcangelo; prizes of local Gargano products were awarded to category winners.
