Edition 2025 — Bruschetta Festival

In 2025, the Bruschetta Festival returned to Marano Equo on August 15th in Piazza Dante, confirming an event that has accompanied the Ferragosto of this Aniene Valley village for over thirty years. As per tradition, A.S.D. Marano Equo managed the food stand with bruschettas prepared over embers and local specialties, in an evening of celebration open to residents, vacationers, and visitors arriving from nearby towns and Rome.

The August 15, 2025 Festival

The 2025 edition of the Bruschetta Festival took place on August 15th in Marano Equo, in the province of Rome, in the usual setting of Piazza Dante. The organization was once again entrusted to A.S.D. Marano Equo, the association that has been running the event since the 1990s.

The script is one that the locals know by heart: the embers lit in the late afternoon, the homemade bread cut into thick slices and toasted, the extra virgin olive oil and fresh tomato, the tables set up in the square, and the evening sliding into music and dancing. Ferragosto is the day when the village reaches its highest turnout of the year, with the return of families originally from the village and the arrival of vacationers in the Aniene Valley.

The formula remained the traditional one: free entry and affordable consumption at the stand, in a celebration that remains, first and foremost, a moment of community.
