Manuel Falmenta Memorial

1st Manuel Falmenta Memorial Climb - August 23, 2025

The first edition was held on Saturday, August 23, 2025, in Vocca, Valsesia, as part of the 2nd Falispa Bivouac Festival. The route, covering approximately 7 km with 1,000 meters of positive elevation gain, started from the Isola di Vocca hamlet to reach the Falispa Bivouac at 1,458 meters.

107 participants took part, across both the competitive race and the non-competitive hike. The start was signaled by Mayor Giacomo Gagliardini alongside Chiara Carluccio from GSA Valsesia. Among the athletes mentioned: Nicolò Lora Moretto, Claudio Guglielmetti, and Simone Ottone for the men; Clara Defilippi, Valeria Bruna, and Alessia Minazzi for the women. At the bivouac, Holy Mass was celebrated by Father Roberto Collarini, followed by a convivial feast with polenta, miacce, Valsesian cheeses, and drinks, in an atmosphere of friendship and remembrance.
