Edition 2025 — Manfredonia Carnival

The 71st edition of the Manfredonia Carnival took place between February 23 and March 8, 2025, with the theme "Futura," inspired by the song of the same name by Lucio Dalla. Four parades were held — the first on Sunday, February 23, in the morning, followed by March 2, 4, and 8 — featuring papier-mâché floats, costumed groups, the Parade of Wonders for schools, and the cremation of Ze Pèppe on Shrove Tuesday.

Manfredonia Carnival 2025 — 71st edition

The theme of the 2025 edition was "Futura," a tribute to the famous song by Lucio Dalla and a look toward the future. The calendar featured four main events: the Grand Parade on Sunday, February 23, unusually held in the morning starting at 10 AM, followed by the parades on March 2, 4, and 8.

As per tradition, the large papier-mâché floats and costumed groups animated the Lungomare Nazario Sauro, while the Parade of Wonders involved Manfredonia's schools with themed parades dedicated to Ze Pèppe. On Shrove Tuesday, the cremation of the Ze Pèppe mask was celebrated—the cheerful farmer who dies of pneumonia after Carnival revelry—providing an ironic and identity-defining conclusion to the Manfredonia festival in the Province of Foggia.
