Malibran Festival

The 2025 edition of the Malibran Festival marked an important milestone: the fifteen years of the International Music Academy Maria Malibran in Altidona. The program, divided into the Concerts Oro and Salotto Malibran sections, offered twenty events from March to December in the Sala Colonna and, in summer, in the Academy's Giardino degli Ulivi.

The review opened on March 15 with "More Morricone," a tribute to Ennio Morricone featuring Ferruccio Spinetti on double bass and Giovanni Ceccarelli on piano. Among the highlights were pianist Enrico Pieranunzi (May 11), the Claudio Filippini Trio in the Giardino degli Ulivi (July 26), the continuation of Ivan Donchev's complete Beethoven sonatas, and the first edition of the International Maria Malibran Award for Lifetime Achievement, culminating in the Christmas concert on December 26 with Daniele Di Bonaventura.
