Edition 2025 — Strawberry Festival

The 38th edition of the Maletto Strawberry Festival took place from July 4 to 6, 2025, between Via Umberto and Piazza IV Novembre, organized by the Municipality of Maletto and the Pro Loco. Three days of food stalls, free tastings, folklore, and music, featuring a concert by Michele Zarrillo as the headline guest.

The 2025 Edition

The 38th Maletto Strawberry Festival was held on Friday, July 4, Saturday, July 5, and Sunday, July 6, 2025, in the historic center of the Etna village, in the province of Catania. Friday evening featured the inauguration with the marching band and the election of Miss Baby Fragolina and Miss Venere, followed by a DJ set. Saturday focused on the roving folk group, the maccheronata, and, in the evening, the concert by Michele Zarrillo. Sunday concluded the event with the Strawberry Gelato Festival, strawberry risotto, flag-wavers, the strawberry cake tasting, and a performance by the Canzoniere dell'Etna. Admission was free.

Programme

Friday, July 4 - 7:00 PM inauguration and opening of stalls with marching band (Via Umberto); 8:00 PM Miss Baby Fragolina; 9:00 PM Miss Venere; 10:30 PM DJ set (Piazza IV Novembre).

Saturday, July 5 - 10:00 AM opening of stalls; 12:00 PM roving folk group; 1:00 PM maccheronata; 6:00 PM cake decorating for children; 10:00 PM concert by Michele Zarrillo.

Sunday, July 6 - 10:00 AM Strawberry Gelato Festival; 1:00 PM strawberry risotto; 5:00 PM flag-wavers; 7:00 PM strawberry cake tasting; 9:00 PM Canzoniere dell'Etna; 10:00 PM ballroom dancing.
