Edition 2025 — Zuccarrina Potato Festival in Calimera

The 2025 edition took place starting Saturday, September 27, at the Calimera Market Area, organized by Pro Loco Calimera in collaboration with the Municipality. The absolute star was the Zuccarrina potato, celebrated with food stalls, tastings, and the artisanal beer La Kumara. The event also featured an agricultural and craft market, organic products, and live music, with an evening show dedicated to Salento's folk traditions.

The 2025 edition in Calimera

The Zuccarrina Potato Festival and Madonna di Costantinopoli Fair returned in September 2025 to the Calimera Market Area, in the province of Lecce. The opening of the food stalls, featuring dishes based on the Zuccarrina potato prepared by local producers, enlivened the day along with the agricultural and craft market. Among the offerings was the artisanal beer La Kumara, made from the town's iconic sweet tuber.

The evening concluded with music at 9:00 PM, featuring a performance by the Allegra Compagnia Cantante and traditional folk sounds. The event, which offered free access, confirmed the festival's role as a showcase for agricultural biodiversity and the Griko identity of Calimera, in the heart of Grecìa Salentina.
