Edition 2025 — Madonna delle Grazie

In 2025, Gela once again renewed its devotion to the Madonna delle Grazie with the traditional festival on July 2nd. Following the novena, the day featured morning mass, the midday maschiata, and the solemn procession of the effigy with the cannili through the city streets, concluding late in the evening with fireworks over the sea.

The 2025 edition, celebrated on July 2nd, confirmed the great popular participation that characterizes this festival, one of the most heartfelt in Gela and the entire province of Caltanissetta.

The procession of the 19th-century effigy, which departed from the Church of the Capuchin Friars Minor, crossed the city center accompanied by the cannili, the large garlanded votive candles, and the traditional blessing of the children. The day ended, as per tradition, with fireworks over the sea on the Gela seafront.
