Madonna delle Grazie Festival

The 2025 edition of the Madonna delle Grazie Festival in Belpasso (CT) renewed a devotional tradition spanning nearly five centuries. On the evening of August 14th, illuminations lit up Piazza Sant'Antonio and Via Roma; silhouettes commemorating the apostles and saints were placed on the church parvis, and the night vigil took place, with torches lit in front of the district's houses.

On August 15th, the main day, Eucharistic celebrations and the evening procession were held, with the return of the 16th-century statue welcomed by hymns, music, and living tableaux. On August 16th, a second procession crossed the streets of the district, marked by thematic altars and living tableaux. The festival was preceded, as per tradition, by the fifteen days of prayer and the Visitatio Mariae in July.
