Edition 2025 — Madonna della Tagliata

The 2025 edition of the Madonna della Tagliata Festival took place in Castelvetrano from September 18 to 24, 2025, with nine days of celebrations including liturgies, a traditional fair, and moments of popular conviviality. The heart of the festival, on Sunday, September 21, featured the fourth edition of the 'Antiqua et Veneranda Imago' historical dramatization and the Tagliata Fair along the street of the same name, which has been active since 1759.

The 2025 edition of the Madonna della Tagliata Festival was held in Castelvetrano from September 18 to 24, 2025. The program opened on Thursday the 18th with a charity dinner for the sanctuary in the church garden, followed on Friday the 19th by a prayer vigil with young people.

On Saturday, September 20, masses were held from the early hours of the morning, accompanied by the city pilgrimage and the cannolo and cassateddra food festival. On Sunday, September 21, the highlight day, after the solemn masses, the 'Antiqua et Veneranda Imago' historical re-enactment with the triumphal float took place in the evening, reaching its fourth edition and organized by the 'Gennaro Bottone' Center for Research on Medieval Costumes and Traditions together with the Santa Rita historical pageant committee. Over the weekend, the Tagliata Fair enlivened Via Tagliata with wooden stalls, exhibitions, crafts, gastronomy, and itinerant musical events. The festivities concluded between Monday the 22nd and Wednesday the 24th of September with morning and afternoon masses in the sanctuary.
