Madonna della Salette Festival

The 2025 edition of the Madonna della Salette Festival reaffirmed the strong bond between the community of Lavinaio and its patron saint. In the setting of this Aci Sant'Antonio village in the province of Catania, the festival centered on the solemn procession of the Marian statue.

The fercolo bearing the effigy of the Madonna left the parish church in the late afternoon, around 5:00 PM, to wind through the streets of the village illuminated by festive lights. The cortege was accompanied by a brass band and traditional fireworks, while the faithful followed the procession in prayer until its return to the church at sunset. Religious celebrations in the parish preceded and accompanied the day of festivities.
