2025 Edition

The 2025 Madonna della Ravanusa Festival in San Giovanni la Punta (Catania) reached its peak on August 15th, the Solemnity of the Assumption, with a well-attended evening pontifical mass celebrated in the sanctuary's open-air amphitheater and the subsequent procession of the sacred image. A musical highlight was the "Homage to Mary" concert, now in its tenth edition, performed by a chamber orchestra conducted by Maestro Antonio Macrì. The program alternated between sacred and classical music, ranging from Pachelbel's Canon to Schubert's Ave Maria, as well as works by Puccini, Mascagni, and the Hymn to the Madonna della Ravanusa, attracting a large audience from neighboring towns.
