Madonna della Neve Festival (patronal and votive feast)

August 2025: The patronal feast

The festivities opened on Friday, August 1st at 8:30 PM in Piazza Giovanni XXIII, with a parish community evening featuring La Paranza dell'Agro, Ignazio Laiola, and Lisa Iovane, closing with a cabaret show by Simone Schettino. On August 5th at 6:00 PM, the effigy left the Basilica to reach the harbor and embark toward the Rovigliano rock, with a re-enactment of the icon's discovery on the beach and a Solemn Mass. On Sunday, August 10th, at 7:00 PM, the procession crossed the Marina district, Via De Simone, and the harbor area before returning to the Basilica. Simultaneously, the Vesuvio Food Fest took place on the pier.

October 2025: The votive feast and the Oplonti Prize

The votive anniversary on October 22nd was preceded by days of events: the peace concert on the 17th, the historical walk along the Strada Regia delle Calabrie and the lighting of the illuminations on the 18th, the vintage carriage parade and the choral festival Le Glorie di Maria on the 19th, and the historical pageant on the city's founding on the 20th. On the 22nd, the Eucharistic concelebration presided over by Bishop Beniamino Depalma and the solemn procession through the city streets were followed in the evening by a concert by Tullio De Piscopo and fireworks. On October 24th, the first edition of the Oplonti Prize closed the program.
