Madonna della Neve Festival 2025

The 2025 edition followed the rich traditional calendar of the patronal feast in Francofonte (SR). The novena began on July 26th, preached by Don Rosolino Vicino, with evening Holy Masses in the Mother Church from July 27th to 31st.

August 1st was the day dedicated to the family, with the blessing of families and the consecration of children to the Madonna. On August 3rd, the penitential pilgrimage to the votive stele of Passaneto took place, with Mass presided over by Monsignor Salvatore Pappalardo. On August 4th, after the Holy Mass by Monsignor Sebastiano Amenta, the Patron Saint's chapel was opened.

On August 5th, the main day, the schedule included the Holy Mass by parish priest Don Luca Gallina, the 'Giro dei Santi', the handing over of the city keys in Piazza Garibaldi, the evening procession of the fercolo returning around midnight, and the fireworks display. The festival concluded on August 12th with the solemn octave procession.

• August 1 — Family Day: Holy Mass at 7:00 PM, blessing of families and consecration of children.
• August 3 — Holy Mass at 8:30 AM in the Church of the Angel; adoration and confessions; 7:30 PM penitential pilgrimage to the votive stele of Passaneto; 9:00 PM Mass presided over by Monsignor Salvatore Pappalardo.
• August 4 — Holy Mass at 11:00 AM presided over by Monsignor Sebastiano Amenta; 12:00 PM opening of the Madonna della Neve chapel.
• August 5 — 10:00 AM Holy Mass by parish priest Don Luca Gallina; 11:00 AM 'Giro dei Santi'; 12:00 PM handing over of the city keys in Piazza Garibaldi; in the afternoon, solemn procession of the fercolo returning around midnight with a fireworks display.
• August 12 — Octave, with the solemn final procession.
