Edition 2025 — Madonna della Mercede

In September 2025, Collarmele renewed the traditional Madonna della Mercede Festival, one of the two major events in the Marsica village calendar. Amidst religious rites, a procession, and moments of conviviality, the community gathered in the historic centre to celebrate the late September Marian devotion, in the mountain setting of the Valle del Giovenco in the province of L'Aquila.

2025 Edition

The 2025 Madonna della Mercede Festival confirmed the deep bond between Collarmele and this late September Marian devotion. As per tradition, the Marsica village, in the province of L'Aquila, experienced days of reflection and celebration around September 23rd and 24th, with the Eucharistic celebration and the procession of the sacred image along the streets of the historic centre. Alongside the religious moments, there were also community gatherings that characterise Abruzzo village festivals, an opportunity to bring together residents and those with ties to the town.
