Two days of devotion and tradition

Faithful to a tradition that the people of Casarano have guarded for generations, the 2025 edition renewed the bond between the festival and Easter. The religious program, curated by the Maria SS. Annunziata Parish, included Holy Masses at the Mother Church and the sanctuary on the Campana hill, with the solemn translation of the Protectors' statues.

The streets of the center came alive with the procession accompanied by the brass band, the corteges of the Vergineddhe in white dresses and the Ancileddhi, and the traditional songs of the choir. Illuminations framed the evenings, while the stop at the Cavamonti votive shrine hosted the characteristic pyrotechnic torchlight parade. On Monday, according to the "campaneddhra" custom, many families gathered in the countryside for the traditional outdoor lunch.
