Madonna del Lares Festival

Two days of celebration at the sanctuary

In 2025, the Madonna del Lares Festival returned on August 15 and 16 at the Sanctuary of Madonna del Lares, above Bolbeno, in the municipality of Borgo Lares (TN). The event, organized by the Pro Loco Bolbeno, opened on Ferragosto with Mass at 10:30 AM, followed by a lunch with polenta and traditional Trentino products, and in the afternoon, a performance by the Coro Cima Tosa of Bolbeno.

On August 16, the feast day of Saint Roch, the festival continued with the traditional non-competitive footrace "Madonna del Lares" starting at 9:00 AM, graced by the presence of European mountain running vice-champion Cesare Maestri and other athletes. After Mass and lunch, the day concluded with the awards ceremony. Admission was free with meals available for purchase, for a festival that combines devotion, Alpine tradition, and community spirit.

• Afternoon — Footrace awards ceremony
