Edition 2025 — Madonna del Carmine

On July 16, 2025, San Michele Salentino celebrated the Madonna del Carmine Festival with faith and music under the stars. The evening opened with Holy Mass in the picturesque setting of Borgo Ajeni, next to the small church of the Madonna del Carmine, and continued with traditional Salento folk music and a major tribute concert in Piazza Marconi. A blend of sacred and profane that drew the community and visitors from the Upper Salento.

The 2025 edition of the Madonna del Carmine Festival took place on July 16th in San Michele Salentino, in the Province of Brindisi. The celebration kicked off at 7:00 PM with Holy Mass at the church of the Madonna del Carmine, in the picturesque setting of the ancient Borgo Ajeni.

After the religious moment, the festival continued with music: the group I Venti Salentini enlivened the village with pizzica and folk songs of the Salento tradition. The grand finale, at 9:30 PM in Piazza Marconi, was entrusted to the band Vagaband, which offered an engaging tribute to the Nomadi, revisiting the greatest hits of the famous Emilian group. An evening dedicated to faith, folklore, and conviviality, promoted by the Municipal Administration in collaboration with the Parish.
