M° Nino Cirinnà International Band Festival

The 42nd edition of the M° Nino Cirinnà International Band Festival was held in Canicattini Bagni (Province of Syracuse) from August 22 to 24, 2025, with great public participation.

Friday, August 22

Inaugural concert at 9:30 PM in Piazza XX Settembre with the "Città di Canicattini Bagni" Band directed by M° Sebastiano Liistro, joined by guests Horizon Quartet and Luciano De Luca, euphonium soloist of the State Police Band.

Saturday, August 23

Parade at 6:30 PM along Via Vittorio Emanuele with five bands from various Sicilian provinces, followed by the 9:30 PM evening concert in Piazza XX Settembre.

Sunday, August 24

Afternoon parade at 6:30 PM and grand final concert at 9:30 PM, with the participation of M° Franco Foderà, pianist and composer from the Trapani Conservatory, and the presentation of awards to the press. International guests of the edition also included tenor Antonino Interisano and French accordionist François Parisi. Eight groups participated, including the State Police Band (Enna section), the "Generoso Risi" Wind Orchestra of Acireale, and the "Alfio Pulvirenti" Band of Comiso.

• 9:30 PM — Piazza XX Settembre: concert by the "Città di Canicattini Bagni" Band (dir. M° Sebastiano Liistro), with guests Horizon Quartet and Luciano De Luca (euphonium, State Police Band)

Saturday, August 23

• 6:30 PM — Parade along Via Vittorio Emanuele and Piazza XX Settembre with five Sicilian bands
• 9:30 PM — Piazza XX Settembre: evening concert with three performing bands

Sunday, August 24

• 6:30 PM — Parade along Via Vittorio Emanuele and Piazza XX Settembre with four bands
• 9:30 PM — Piazza XX Settembre: final concert with three bands and M° Franco Foderà (pianist and composer), presentation of awards to the press
