Edition 2025 — M'illumino di Meno

In 2025, M'illumino di Meno celebrated its 21st edition, extending for the first time over an entire week, from February 16 to 21. The chosen theme was the environmental impact of fashion and fast fashion. In Rome, numerous state museums turned off their lights, and the external facade of the Quirinal Palace remained in the dark, in a symbolic embrace between institutions and citizens for energy saving.

M'illumino di Meno 2025 in Rome

The 21st edition of the National Energy Saving Day, promoted by Caterpillar - Rai Radio2, opened on Sunday, February 16, 2025, and for the first time, it extended over an entire week, until February 21. The theme of the year was fashion and the environmental impact of fast fashion.

In Rome, on the evening of February 16, the Boncompagni Ludovisi Decorative Art Museum, the Hendrik Christian Andersen Museum, and the National Museum of Musical Instruments turned off their lights. From 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, the external lighting of the Quirinal Palace also remained in the dark. Throughout Italy, iconic sites such as the Colosseum and the Uffizi Galleries in Florence participated, confirming M'illumino di Meno as the country's largest participatory environmental campaign.
