Edition 2025 — Lumacata di San Giovanni

In 2025, the Lumacata di San Giovanni once again brought the historic center of Civitavecchia to life on the night dedicated to Saint John the Baptist. The event, recognized with the De.Co. mark and organized by the Pro Loco, renewed the ritual of free stewed snail tastings, accompanied by bread, wine, and folk music, blending folklore and conviviality.

Lumacata di San Giovanni 2025

The 2025 edition of the Lumacata di San Giovanni took place in the historic center of Civitavecchia, on the occasion of the feast of Saint John the Baptist, celebrated on the night between June 23rd and 24th. True to tradition, the evening featured a free tasting of stewed snails, with bread and wine, accompanied by folk songs and traditional music.

Organized by the Pro Loco of Civitavecchia and recognized with the De.Co. mark, the festival confirmed its role as a key local summer event, gathering residents and visitors around one of the most characteristic folk rituals of the area.
