Edition 2025 — Luggiana Festival

The 2025 edition of the Luggiana Festival took place at the end of July in Marittima di Diso, in lower Salento. This year, the village once again offered tastings of traditional Salento peasant cuisine, featuring vegetables, legumes, and wild herbs, alongside great classics like pasuli alla pignata, tripe, and horse meat in sauce, all enjoyed among market stalls, outdoor tables, and live music.

The 2025 Luggiana Festival confirmed its vocation as a festival dedicated to the peasant cuisine of Salento, enlivening the streets of Marittima, a hamlet of Diso (LE), during the last days of July.

Visitors were able to savor the iconic dishes of the local tradition: pasuli alla pignata (beans cooked in terracotta), tripe, dentex with olives, pezzetti di carne di cavallo al sugo (horse meat in sauce), and mussels from Taranto, along with vegetables and wild herbs from the Salento peasant kitchen.

As per tradition, the culinary aspect was accompanied by evenings of live music and a popular festive atmosphere that attracted residents and tourists vacationing along the lower Salento coast.
