Edition 2025 — Chestnut Festival
The 2025 Lucolena Chestnut Festival was held from Thursday, October 16 to Sunday, October 19 in the village of Lucolena, in Greve in Chianti. The midweek evenings opened the event with the chestnut tombola (Thursday) and the pairs briscola tournament (Friday).
Saturday featured the "Il castellaccio di Lucolena" trek, the opening of food stalls from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM, creative painting for children, roasted chestnuts and mulled wine service, the children's show "Favole in giardino," and a fire performance by the La Barraca company. On Sunday, after Mass, stalls and markets continued, with live music by The Wedding Brothers, traditional games, the awarding of the Giant Chestnut and the photography contest, and the concluding pyrotechnic chestnut at 7:00 PM. Free admission, organized by Pro Loco Lucolena.
