Luciese Living Nativity

During the 2024/2025 season, the Luciese Living Nativity once again presented its re-enactment of the Nativity in Santa Lucia del Mela, in the province of Messina. Performances were held on December 22, 26, and 29, 2024, and January 1, 5, and 6, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM. In the rock-hewn church of Contrada Santa Maria, costumed actors brought ancient crafts and scenes of daily life from the past to life, while the arrival of the Magi was renewed on Epiphany. The atmosphere was made even more intense by the notes of the ciaramiddari, confirming the success of an event now deeply rooted in the local Christmas tradition.
