Edition 2025 — Lucca Teatro Festival

The eleventh edition of the Lucca Teatro Festival, titled "The Theatre that Breathes", took place from 28 June to 3 August 2025 with 27 free events for children, teenagers, and families in ten locations across the territory. In Bagni di Lucca, in the Public Gardens of Benabbio, the show "The Word Merchant", freely adapted from "The Great Word Factory" by Agnès de Lestrade, was performed.

The 2025 edition of the Lucca Teatro Festival, titled "The Theatre that Breathes", was organized by La Cattiva Compagnia with the contribution of the Municipality of Lucca and the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Lucca, and under the patronage of the Province of Lucca and the Fondazione Toscana Spettacolo. The festival offered 27 free events including theatre performances, workshops, games, and street theatre, from 28 June to 3 August, in ten locations spread across several municipalities of the Lucca Plain.

The edition was opened by Topo Gigio, an icon of Italian television loved by young and old. In Bagni di Lucca, in the Public Gardens of Benabbio, "The Word Merchant" was performed on 17 July, a show freely inspired by "The Great Word Factory" by Agnès de Lestrade.
