Lucca Biennale Cartasia

In 2025, while awaiting the next major edition, the Lucca Biennale Cartasia presented "LuBiCa Digital Detox", a three-day festival dedicated to digital disconnection and the rediscovery of manual skills and direct experience. The initiative was held from October 8 to 10, 2025, at MOC – Metropolis Officine Creative, located at Via Barbantini 47 in Lucca, with free admission.

The heart of the event was the immersive exhibition "Lubica: history, works, future", a journey through photographs, installations, and videos that recounted the twelve previous editions of the Biennale and the role of paper as an artistic medium. The program also included paper art workshops intended as "creative meditation," a deep listening workshop involving haiku writing and contemplation of Japanese papers, and the "Tango and Body" performance dedicated to non-verbal connection.
