«Lu Ccite de Lu Porc» Festival

The 27th edition

On Sunday, February 23, 2025, Torricella Sicura hosted the twenty-seventh edition of the «Lu Ccite de Lu Porc» festival. In Piazza Mario Capuani, the heart of the village, the Pro Loco set up food stalls dedicated to pork dishes and cured meats typical of the Teramo region.

The day renewed the re-enactment of the traditional Abruzzese rural custom of pig processing, a moment that was once fundamental to the domestic economy of farming families. With authentic flavors and a festive atmosphere, the event confirmed its role as a key identity-building appointment for the community of Torricella Sicura and visitors from the Teramo hinterland.
