Lovers Film Festival

For its fortieth anniversary, the Lovers Film Festival offered a special program in Turin from April 10 to 17, 2025, at the Cinema Massimo, featuring 70 films from 26 countries. The festival, directed by Vladimir Luxuria, revolved around the theme "Emerging," evoking both the idea of coming to light and Turin's identity as a city of rights.

The godmother of the edition was Karla Sofía Gascón, the first trans woman to be nominated for an Oscar, while the Stella della Mole award was presented to the Scottish actor and producer Alan Cumming. As per tradition, the selection was divided into the three international competitions: All The Lovers, Real Lovers, and Future Lovers, accompanied by meetings, guests, and awards.
