Edition 2025 — Loquat Festival

In May 2025, the Loquat Festival returned to Calatabiano in Piazza San Filippo, confirming its status as one of the most popular events in the Calatabiano calendar. Tasting stalls for loquats and derived products, a local craft market, live cooking, and folk entertainment preceded the traditional feast of the patron saint, Saint Philip Siriaco.

The 2025 edition of the Loquat Festival took place in May in Piazza San Filippo in Calatabiano, anticipating, as every year, the festivities in honor of Saint Philip Siriaco. The event offered tastings of loquats and their derivatives—jams, preserves, gelato, and the "nespolino" liqueur—alongside a local craft market.

Among the most popular events were the live cooking show dedicated to the fruit, folk group performances with traditional music and dance, and moments of devotion to the patron saint, in a setting that attracts visitors from all over Eastern Sicily every year.
