Edition 2025 — Lòm a Mêrz

In 2025, Lòm a Mêrz once again lit up the countryside of Ozzano dell'Emilia, following the ancient peasant tradition of propitiatory bonfires spread between Bologna and Romagna. The event, promoted by the Pro Loco with the support of the Municipality, renewed the custom of lighting fires with pruning and brushwood to wish for a good harvest and welcome the return of spring, in a free event of strong identity value for the Ozzano community.

Lòm a Mêrz 2025 in Ozzano dell'Emilia

The 2025 edition of Lòm a Mêrz confirmed in Ozzano dell'Emilia the community's connection with the rites of peasant civilization. Between late February and the first days of March, the local countryside was illuminated by propitiatory bonfires, lit to ward off the negativities of the past season and promote the resumption of life in the fields.

The event, organized by the Pro Loco with the patronage of the Municipality, offered, as usual, the opening of local farms and free admission, fitting into the broader regional calendar of Emilia-Romagna that celebrates this tradition every year.
