Edition 2025 — Traditional Sweets Festival in the Village

On Saturday, August 23, 2025, Villa Romagnoli hosted the 39th edition of the Local Traditional Sweets Festival in the Village. Starting at 7:00 PM, the village came alive with tastings of bocconotti, fiadoni, cantucci, pizzelle, and mostaccioli, accompanied by the traditional DeCO Bocconotto Competition and live music, for an evening dedicated to Abruzzo pastry hosted by the Pro Loco Romagnoli.

The 39th edition of the Local Traditional Sweets Festival in the Village took place on Saturday, August 23, 2025, in Villa Romagnoli, a hamlet of Mozzagrogna (CH). From 7:00 PM, the village squares offered tastings of traditional sweets — bocconotti, fiadoni, cantucci, tarallucci, pizzelle, crispelle, mostaccioli, and sweet pesche — along with savory dishes such as pallotte cace e ove.

The highlight of the evening was the Bocconotto Competition, dedicated to the Municipal Denomination of Origin (DeCO) pastry of Villa Romagnoli, with a jury of experts awarding the best homemade preparations. The event, organized by the Pro Loco Romagnoli, confirmed its role as a key summer event for food tourism in the province of Chieti.
