Edition 2025 — Lo Pan Ner

The tenth edition of Lo Pan Ner - I Pani delle Alpi took place on October 18 and 19, 2025, involving numerous villages in Valle d'Aosta, including Chamois, Valtournenche, Saint-Christophe, Arnad, Gressoney-La-Trinité, Courmayeur, Rhêmes-Saint-Georges, and La Salle. The reigniting of ovens, rye bread baking, village festivals, show cooking, and competitions animated the cross-border event.

The tenth edition of Lo Pan Ner - I Pani delle Alpi was held on October 18 and 19, 2025, reigniting the communal ovens in numerous villages of Valle d'Aosta. Among the participating municipalities were: Chamois, Valtournenche, Saint-Christophe, Arnad, Gressoney-La-Trinité, Courmayeur, Rhêmes-Saint-Georges, and La Salle, along with partner municipalities in Piedmont, Lombardy, and Switzerland.

During the two days of the festival, the historic ovens once again produced traditional rye bread, distributed and sold among residents and visitors. The programme featured a mix of village festivals, convivial moments, show cooking with chefs, baking courses, and competitions for the best black bread and creative bread, confirming the event as one of the most cherished traditions of Valle d'Aosta's Alpine culture.
