Edition 2025 — Living Via Crucis

In 2025, the Living Via Crucis of Francofonte returned to fill the town's streets with its 36th edition. As per tradition, the San Francesco Parish coordinated dozens of local participants in the traveling performance of the Passion of Christ, from the Last Supper to the crucifixion, through the squares of the historic center in the heart of the Syracuse Holy Week.

36th edition — Holy Week 2025

The 2025 edition of the Living Via Crucis of Francofonte renewed a well-established appointment of Holy Week in the Syracuse municipality. Promoted by the San Francesco Parish, the performance involved the local community in a grand living tableau that, starting from the church square, crossed the main squares of the town — from Piazza Matteotti to Piazza Garibaldi — up to the crucifixion in the Canali district. In 2025, the event once again confirmed its ability to unite faith, tradition, and popular participation, attracting numerous spectators to the streets of the historic center.
