Edition 2025 — Living Via Crucis

In 2025, the Living Via Crucis of the Santo Sepolcro Parish once again opened the Easter rites of Altamura. The sacred performance took place on the Saturday before Palm Sunday, in the evening, with the usual procession that crossed the streets of the San Sepolcro district, bringing the Passion of Christ to life with actors, costumes, and sets by the parish community.

The 2025 Living Via Crucis confirmed the vitality of a tradition deeply rooted in the San Sepolcro district of Altamura. As is customary, the sacred performance was held on the Saturday before Palm Sunday, starting in the evening from the Santo Sepolcro Parish. The procession retraced the stations of the Passion of Christ along the historic streets of the neighborhood—from Via Monte Calvario to Via delle Cappelle—involving dozens of volunteers including actors, youth, and catechists. Entirely curated by the parishioners, from the creation of the costumes to the logistics, the 2025 edition attracted numerous faithful and spectators, launching the rich calendar of Holy Week rites in Altamura.
