Living Via Crucis in Carcaci

The 2025 edition of the Living Via Crucis in Carcaci confirmed the vocation of the Village of Carcaci, in Centuripe, as an exceptional setting for the re-enactment of the Passion of Christ during the Lenten period. Promoted by the Municipality of Centuripe, the event combined the religious dimension with that of rural tradition, featuring the Ruralia farmers' market, tastings of local products, and folk music.

The sacred performance wound through the streets of the village, an ancient fiefdom of the Paternò Castello family nestled in the Simeto Valley, and concluded with a Eucharistic celebration in the small church of Carcaci. A community event that brought together believers and visitors, highlighting a place steeped in the history of inland Sicily.
