Edition 2025 — Living Via Crucis Cittaducale

On Good Friday, April 18, 2025, Cittaducale hosted the second consecutive edition of the Living Via Crucis and the Procession of the Dead Christ, organized by the Associazione Tradizioni Civitesi. The period-costume performance moved through the historic centre of the Rieti village, involving performers and the community in an atmosphere of intense popular devotion.

2025 Edition

In 2025, the Living Via Crucis of Cittaducale took place on Good Friday, April 18, confirming the path of rediscovering traditions initiated by the Associazione Tradizioni Civitesi. Performers in period costumes reenacted the Stations of the Cross along the streets of the historic centre, culminating in the Procession of the Dead Christ and Our Lady of Sorrows.

In this edition as well, the event combined faith, theatre, and collective memory, involving the Civitese community and visitors in the evocative setting of the village, in the province of Rieti, in the Lazio region.
