Edition 2025 — Living Nativity of Petrignano
The 44th Edition
For Christmas 2025-2026, the Living Nativity of Petrignano d'Assisi celebrated its 44th edition. Performances were held on December 25th, 26th, and 28th, 2025, and January 1st and 11th, 2026 (with a procession at 4:00 PM and performances from 5:15 PM to 7:30 PM); the January 4th date was canceled due to bad weather.
As tradition dictates, over 200 volunteer figures recreated the Palestine of the Nativity era among the castle alleys and the banks of the Chiascio, featuring ancient crafts, scenes of daily life, and the arrival of the Magi. The free shuttle service connected the center of Assisi to the village.
