Edition 2025 — Living Nativity of Pereto

The 2025 edition of the Living Nativity of Pereto, the 56th in its history, took place on December 26, 2025, starting at 4:00 PM. The medieval village in the province of L'Aquila transformed into a timeless Bethlehem, featuring the traditional thousand-meter itinerant path animated by about a hundred performers, amidst ancient crafts, scenes of daily life, and the birth of the Baby Jesus.

The Living Nativity of Pereto 2025

The 56th edition of the Living Nativity of Pereto was held on December 26, 2025, from 4:00 PM, confirming one of the most deeply rooted Christmas events in the Marsica area. The stone streets of the village, at the foot of Mount Fontecellese, hosted the itinerant and theatrical Franciscan-style re-enactment, faithful to the text written for the first edition by Don Enrico Penna.

Along the thousand-meter path, visitors passed through workshops and scenes of popular life up to the Nativity manger, guided by about a hundred local performers. The event, organized by the Pro Loco Pereto "Manolo Iacuitti", reaffirmed the value of this tradition as a moment of living and shared memory for the entire community.
