Living Nativity of Castelnuovo della Daunia

The 35th edition of the Living Nativity of Castelnuovo della Daunia took place on January 5, 2025, starting at 6:30 PM, at the Convent of the Friars Minor of Santa Maria Maddalena and the adjacent garden, in a new and evocative setting restored thanks to the contributions of local citizens.

The edition was a great success, with over 1,200 visitors arriving from across the province of Foggia and more than 50 local performers. The entire community participated in the performance: the Mayor Guerino De Luca himself and his family portrayed the Holy Family. With the collaboration of the Gens Capitanatae association, the route guided visitors through scenes of medieval life, ancient crafts, and moments of prayer, leading up to the Nativity, accompanied by food stalls featuring the flavors of the Monti Dauni tradition.
