Living Nativity at the Hermitage of San Francesco

The seventh edition of the Living Nativity was held at the Hermitage of San Francesco in Rotella (AP) from December 27 to 29, 2024, starting at 5:00 PM.

About 150 re-enactors recreated the life of the people of Bethlehem two thousand years ago, in an enchanted world populated by workshops, animals, and characters illuminated by torchlight. Along the route, which wound through the entire convent area, visitors encountered artisans and crafts of the past, and the theater companies In Flames and Teatro del Ramino. For tastings of cheeses, skewers, fritters, and drinks, special coins were purchased, while admission was free. The event was organized by the Community of Friars Disciples of Mary of Nazareth with four parishes and municipal patronage.
