Living History at Ossana Castle

Siege of the Castle 2025

The 2025 edition of Living History, which took place from August 1st to 3rd at San Michele Castle in Ossana, Val di Sole, focused on the Siege of the Castle. Over 50 re-enactors from Italy and Germany reconstructed the life of a 13th-century citadel, with camps, military training, and multiple re-enactments of the assault on the walls.

Historical groups present included: the Masnada de Castrobarco, Die Reisecen, the Confraternita del Dragone, the Compagnia dell'Antica Torre, Ratisbona 1250, the Milites Castellani, the Milites Morbelliani, and the Cives Regni Siciliae. There were also local produce markets, food stalls with traditional cuisine, educational workshops for children, and roving music by the Delirium Villici. The event was promoted by the Ordine della Torre Association in collaboration with the Val di Sole Tourist Board and the Municipality of Ossana.
