Living Chess Game of Marostica

In 2025, an odd-numbered year, the Living Chess Game of Marostica was not held in its complete version: the grand performance returns in even-numbered years. However, Marostica celebrated its identity with 'Marostica 1454', a historical reenactment spread throughout the town on September 13 and 14, 2025. Through the streets and squares of the walled center, there were a medieval market, shows, combat demonstrations, fire performances, and workshops. On Saturday, September 13, Piazza degli Scacchi hosted fire shows, sword fights, and the evocative 'burning of the castle', recreating the authentic atmosphere that made the Vicenza town famous.
