The livestock world celebrates

The Livestock Show of the City of Darfo Boario Terme is one of the most established events in Valle Camonica, dedicated to the world of livestock farming. For three days, the Municipality of Darfo Boario Terme (Province of Brescia) celebrates rural traditions and the bond between the Camuna community and its animals, with competitions, parades, and convivial moments.

Morphological competitions

The heart of the show are the morphological competitions: Saturday is dedicated to sheep and goats, Sunday to cattle. Breeders from all over the valley bring their best animals, judged by special juries. On Sunday, the milking competition is also held, a spectacular and fun event that recalls the traditional practices of mountain farming.

Equestrian parade and tradition

Among the most scenic events is the equestrian parade that crosses the city, a tribute to the world of horses and rural traditions. Stands, a gastronomic area, and music revolve around the competitions, making the show an event for families and enthusiasts, dedicated to tradition, food, and activities for all ages.

A Camuna identity

The Livestock Show tells the agricultural and pastoral identity of Valle Camonica, where livestock farming remains a living part of the local economy and culture. It is also an opportunity to introduce younger generations and visitors to a world often little known, in the heart of the lower Brescia part of Valle Camonica.
