Edition 2025 — Marcarolo Livestock Fair

The 24th edition of the Livestock Fair of Ancient Local Breeds took place on Sunday, July 27, 2025, in Capanne di Marcarolo, Bosio (AL). In 2025, the fair once again brought together breeders and visitors around the typical breeds of the Four Provinces Apennines and those at risk of abandonment, with exhibitions, parades, and awards in the heart of the Capanne di Marcarolo Park.

The 2025 edition, the twenty-fourth in the series, confirmed the event's vocation for safeguarding the livestock heritage of the Piedmontese Apennines. In Capanne di Marcarolo, a mountain hamlet of Bosio (AL), breeders from all over the territory brought mountain, Cabannina, Varzese, and Valdostana cattle to the show, along with equines and other species of the peasant tradition.

The day alternated between livestock exhibitions, local producer stalls, and the award ceremony for the best animals, in a setting that recalls the ancient Sant'Isidoro Fair and the pastoral culture of the "Cabanè".
