Edition 2025 — Lirica in Piazza
The 2025 edition of Lirica in Piazza, the 38th, was held from August 3 to 5 on the steps of the Cathedral of San Cerbone, in Massa Marittima. The festival was included among the main events celebrating the 800th anniversary of the Free Commune of Massa Marittima.
The program featured three major titles: Turandot by Giacomo Puccini (Sunday, August 3), L'elisir d'amore by Gaetano Donizetti (Monday, August 4), and Aida by Giuseppe Verdi (Tuesday, August 5), all at 9:15 PM. On the podium was Maestro Leonardo Quadrini with the Orchestra Internazionale della Campania; the stage direction for Turandot and Aida was by Alessio Rizzitiello, and for L'elisir d'amore by Giuseppe Maiorano, all under the supervision of Katia Ricciarelli.
