Edition 2025 — Lights of History

In 2025, "Lights of History at Porta Pia" celebrated the 155th anniversary of the Breach of Porta Pia with a series of evenings in the Bersaglieri Historical Museum courtyard in Rome. The event, now in its tenth edition and organized by the National Bersaglieri Association, featured book presentations, lectures, choirs, military bands, and concerts, blending Risorgimento memory with live performance, with free admission subject to availability.

The 2025 edition of "Lights of History at Porta Pia", the tenth, was held in the courtyard of the Bersaglieri Historical Museum in Rome to celebrate the 155th anniversary of the Breach of Porta Pia, the September 20th commemoration. For several days, the event commemorated the entry of the Bersaglieri into the city in 1870 with lights, music, and color.

Among the highlights, the opening evening on September 18th hosted the presentation of the book "De Porta Pia" by author Armando Bussi, followed by a performance by the Corbium Musical Band of Rocca Priora, conducted by Maestro Federico Cecchini. In the following days, historical lectures, choirs, opera performances, Bersaglieri fanfares, and military and police bands took turns on stage. Admission to the evenings was free, subject to availability.
