LifeStar 10K of the Hundred Horse Chestnut Tree

The inaugural edition of the 10K of the Hundred Horse Chestnut Tree took place on Sunday, June 22, 2025, in the streets of the historic center of Sant'Alfio, in the Province of Catania. Born under the Running Sicily, Grand Prix Sicilia, and Etna Running circuits, the first edition immediately attracted a high-quality field, with athletes representing thirteen nations.

The men's race provided a very tight finish: Lhoussaine Oukhrid crossed the finish line first in 35'04", just two seconds ahead of Wilson Marquez (35'06"), with Ayoub Toulali completing the podium. In the women's field, Edit Filò won in 44'48". The success of the first edition laid the foundations for what has become a permanent fixture on the Sicilian running calendar.
