Edition 2025 — Licodisiadi

In 2025, the Licodisiadi once again brought Santa Maria di Licodia to life with their usual format of games and cultural challenges. Revived by the Associazione Licodisiadi after the historic hiatus, the event confirmed the format of the four teams—Water, Fire, Air, and Earth—engaged in sports disciplines and community-gathering moments involving the entire town at the foot of Mount Etna, in the province of Catania.

Licodisiadi 2025

The 2025 edition renewed the tradition of the Licodisiadi in Santa Maria di Licodia, re-proposing the model that ensured the success of the revival started in 2019. The four teams—Water, Fire, Air, and Earth—competed in numerous sports disciplines and the essential cultural challenges, accompanied by the event's most beloved rituals, from the athletes' parade to the lighting of the Olympic flame. Organized by the Associazione Licodisiadi with the support of the Municipality, the festival confirmed its role as an anticipated and well-attended event for the community at the foot of Mount Etna in the province of Catania.
